Alma Pauline "Polly" Barrett Twork, 93, of Forest Acres, died Tuesday, March 1, 2016. Born in Banks County, GA, to the late John and Naomi Barrett, she was married 71 years to Raymond F. Twork and a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her children, Raymond Berry Twork, of Columbia, Victoria Louise McCown, of Lexington, and Mark Edward Twork, of Augusta, GA. She was the grandmother of six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 3 o'clock, Saturday, March 5th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. Prior to the service the family will receive friends beginning at 2 o'clock. The burial will take place Monday, March 7th at 2 o'clock, at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
