Amanda Howell Jenkins, 84, Pelion, died Sunday, April 19, 2015. Born in Columbia on April 7, 1931, she was a daughter of the late James T. and Julie Bessie Howell. Amanda loved to knit and crochet. She enjoyed reading the Bible, going to church, and being with her family and friends.

Survivors include her son, Charles Bryan Jenkins of Blythewood; five grandchildren; many great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her husband, James Earl Jenkins; her daughter, Cathy Welch; four brothers; and six sisters.
