Angela Johanna Harbel Walker, 83, of Prosperity, formerly of Columbia, died on Monday, January 25, 2021. Born in Munich, Germany, on November 12, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Josef and Anna Koppel Haberl. Angela was raised in Germany and moved to the United States with her husband in 1958. Together, they settled in Walterboro, SC, before continuing to raise their family in Columbia. She was the manager at Evergreens in Ballentine for many years and was also the Owner and Operator of Walkers Bait and Tackle on HWY 391. In her later years, Angela enjoyed time at her lake house in Prosperity, SC with family.
Survivors include her daughter, Delores "Dodie" Walker (Suzette); two daughters-in-law, Patricia M. Walker and Marlene K. Walker; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, Randolph Lee Walker, Sr.; she was preceded in death by her children, Randolph Lee "Buck" Walker, Jr., Furman Clint Walker, Tex Kurt Walker, and Leonard Link Walker.
The graveside service for Mrs. Walker will be held 2 o'clock, Friday, January 29th, at Barfield-Rabon Family Cemetery, Camden, with Mr. Shane Hanna officiating. A procession will leave Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, at 1 o'clock prior to travel to the cemetery. Please contact the funeral home or family for directions to the Cemetery. All are invited to attend, however mask and social distancing are requited to create a safe environment for all. Serving as pallbearers will be Will Collins, Danny Rabon, Bill and Barry Hammer, Roger and Will Walker, and TJ and Tommy Whitaker.
