Obituary

Ann Hobby Hodges, 85, widow of Robert E. "Bobby" Hodges, died in her home on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. Born in Neshoba County, Mississippi, on December 10, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Charles Clay and Mavis Warren Hobby.

Ann was a member of Grace Baptist Church for many years where she enjoyed serving the Lord and fellowship often. There was a sense of sincerity about Ann, as she was faithful in uplifting those she was around. No birthday, holiday or acknowledgement was ever missed by a card, note, or joyful phone conversation. Ann was faithful to her church and very generous to those around her.

In addition to her husband of 68 years, Ann was preceded in death by her son, Robbie Hodges; daughter, Carolyn Anne Hodges; grandson, Alex Hodges; and sister-in-law, Theresa Hobby. Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Karst (Robbie); son, David Hodges; daughter-in-law, Janice Hodges; grandchildren, Tyler O'Shields (Laysha), Kelly Hodges (Morgan) and Benjamin Hodges, Andrew Karst (Jackie); great-grandchildren, Peyton, Greyson, Orrin, Riley and Noah O'Shields; Tuck and Tal Karst; brother, Charles Webb Hobby; and sister, Sarah Barnes (Ronnie); a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends that she deeply loved; as well as her four-legged companions, Annie Mae, Ozzie and Ellie.

The funeral service for Mrs. Hodges will be held at 11:30 o'clock, Monday, August 2nd, at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor David J. Goforth officiating. Burial will follow the service in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church beginning at 10 o'clock.
