Ann Weaver Paschal, 89, of Columbia, died on Sunday, September 9, 2018. Born in Macon, Georgia on November 18, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Hudnall Gentry Weaver and Margaret Smith Weaver. Ann attended Sullins College in Bristol, Virginia, before graduating from Wesleyan College in Macon. She was a member of the Ann Pamela Cunningham Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Columbia Garden Club, the Junior League of Columbia, and First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two sons and their families, Dr. Hudnall Weaver Paschal, and wife, Tracie Johnson Paschal, of Florence; their daughter, Emily Lauren Paschal; Robert Sheldon Paschal, III and wife, Rhoda Jones Paschal, of Columbia; their children, Ann Sheldon Paschal, Rhoda Jane Bowers and husband, Matthew Lee Bowers, of Columbia; great grandsons, Matthew Lee Bowers, Jr. and Charles Paschal Bowers. In addition to her parents and her sister, Mary Octavia Weaver, Mrs. Paschal is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Sheldon Paschal, Jr.
The service for Mrs. Paschal will be held 11 o'clock, Wednesday, September 12th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road, Columbia, with The Rev. David H. Lauten officiating. A family burial will precede the service at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of her son, Robert Sheldon Paschal, III at 1713 Roslyn Drive in Columbia on Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock.
