Allen and Ruth were married for 52 years until December of 2003, when Allen, at the age of 75, passed away. Ruth remarried in 2006 to Don Ulrich, and they were married for 10 years until he passed away in 2016.
Ruth was a secretary in the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation for 40 years and spent the last 20 years in the Harrison High School Dean's Office.
She is survived by her two children; Jack (Jenny) Long of Columbia and Ken (Stephani) Long of Lake Tahoe NV; her nine grandchildren, Matthew (Ally) Long, Patrick (Allison) Long, Michael (Molly) Long, Sarah Long, William (Michaela) Long, David (Breland) Long, Austin Long, Nicolas Long and Brice Long as well as six great grandchildren, Vivian, Samuel, Anna, Nathaniel, Amelia, and Jacob Long.
We already miss her warm smile, immense wisdom and genuine thoughtfulness, but are comforted knowing that she is home in heaven experiencing the complete love of her heavenly father.
