Anna Young Osborne, 82, of Columbia, passed away, Sunday, November 18, 2012 at her residence. Born in Newport News, VA, on May, 18, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Gray Marshall Young and Sarah Maude Irby Young. Anna worked for many years at Tapp's Department Store and retired from the State of South Carolina's Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation. She was a member of North Trenholm Baptist Church and the Joyful Seekers Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her brother, William (JoAnn) Young; brother-in-law, Ernest Gilstrap; nieces, Connie Truesdale, Cheryl Bruton, and Leslie Langford; nephews, David Gilstrap, Logan Gilstrap and Kenneth Young; and very special friend, Paul Sinnott, who was like a son to Anna. In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her son, Fred Osborne, Jr.; brother, James Young and sister, Louise Gilstrap.

The funeral service for Mrs. Osborne will be held, 1 o'clock, Wednesday, November 21st, at North Trenholm Baptist Church, with The Rev. Joseph Copeland officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church, prior to the service, beginning at noon.
