Anna Mae Stevens Sparks, 77, of Columbia, died Monday, March 16, 2020 just 10 days after her beloved husband, Larry Daniel Sparks. Born May 26, 1942 in Churchville, MD, she was a daughter of the late John and Daily Stevens. Anna was a devoted military wife and loving mother.

Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Hatchell; and son, Timothy Dewayne Sparks; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ronald Stevens. In addition to her parents and husband, shew as preceded in death by a son, Larry Daniel Sparks, Jr., and a brother, Earl Stevens.

In light of the recent Novel COVID-19 virus, a private graveside service will be held at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, where Mrs. Sparks will be laid to rest with her husband. Pastor Jeff Phillips of Woodfield Park Baptist Church will officiate. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
