Arthur Pressley Lee, Sr., 88, of Gaston, died Thursday, September 6, 2012. Born in Richland County on August 25, 1924, he was a son of the late Ernest Wesley Lee, Sr. and Ollie Magnolia Ford Lee.

Survivors include his son, Arthur P. (JoHellen) Lee, Jr. of Elgin; daughters, Linda (Guenther) Keller of Elgin, Sharon Ann (Jack) Shelton of Blythewood, Judy Faye Lee of Ridgeway and Lila Louise Lee Shaffer of Gaston; 12 grandsons and 6 granddaughters; brother, Ernest Wesley Lee, Jr.; sisters, Lois Boyd, Ruth Marin, and Margaret Grimsley. In addition to his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Louise Davis Lee; daughters, Sandra Kay Brown, Elizabeth Ann Lee, and Sylvia Lee Hyman.

The funeral service for Mr. Lee will be held 2 o'clock, Sunday, September 9th, at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Dr, Columbia. The Rev. Otis Lee and The Rev. Matthew Suggs will officiate. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Camden. Serving as pallbearers will be, Herman "Junior" Keller, Joey Jackson, Glen Lee, Ricky Lee, Jimmy Wallace and Luther "Spanky" Wallace. Honorary pallbearers will be, Danny Lee and Doug Barton. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock, Saturday evening, at the funeral home.
