Austin Tyler Ross, 25, of Columbia, died Friday, December 22, 2017. Born on March 27, 1992, in Columbia, SC, he was a son of Shannon Lee Young Ross and Bret Troy Ross. Austin was a member of the 2010 graduating class at Ridgeview High School, where he was a four-year letterman in baseball. He also played travel ball for the Dentsville Danger Baseball team. Austin married his high school sweetheart, Brianna Tucker in 2012. He was a US Army veteran having served during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom and an accomplished outdoorsman.

In addition to his parents, Austin is survived by his son, Tyler Andrew Ross; daughter, Kinleigh Joy Ross; sister, Coleman Lee Ross; grandfathers, Robert D. Young and Troy E. Ross; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Austin was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Deborah Ann Young and Cynthia Lee Ross.

A memorial service will be held 6:30 o'clock, Wednesday, December 27th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext. Columbia.
