Obituary

Barbara Long Bradley, 90, of Columbia, SC passed away peacefully on May 24, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 18, 1934, in Gastonia, North Carolina, Barbara was the daughter of the late Ruth and Pink Long.

She was a devoted homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Barbara married the love of her life, John W. Bradley, in 1952. They shared a beautiful life together until his passing. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, her son Michael, and her sisters; Beanie and Dot Long; and great granddaughter, Grace Bradley.

Barbara is survived by her children, Lynn Nave of Pelion, SC, and Tony and Juli Bradley of Greer, SC. She was a proud grandmother to Steven, Kelly, and Johnny Creech, Josh, Nikki, and Ryan Bradley. Her legacy also lives on through her eleven great-grandchildren: Billy Giles, John, Maddie and Bryce Creech, and Corbin Bradley, Greyson and Hunter Douglas, Georgia Bradley, Kylee Bradley, Addison, Quinn and Reece Bradley.

Barbara was a longtime member of Trenholm Baptist Church, where she found strength and community through her faith. Her warmth, kindness, and devotion to her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A service will be held at Fort Jackson National Cemetery on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 2:00 pm to celebrate Barbara's life.
