Obituary

Barbara Ann Brawley Quattlebaum was born on April 12, 1933, to Bennie S. Brawley, Sr, and Nora Kind Brawley. She was the granddaughter of the late James and Blanche Faulling Kind and James Howard and Julia Adelsheimer Brawley.

Barbara graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1951. She married the love of her life, Joseph Quattlebaum, on February 14, 1952. She worked as a secretary at Fort Jackson until the birth of their first child. Together they welcomed five children.

Barbara enjoyed antiques. She had multiple booths at the Old Mill Antique Mall and enjoyed taking part in various antique shows. She also loved working part time at Claire's, where she pierced many an ear and helped customers find" just right" accessories. After being recruited by the Disney Store, she loved everything Mickey. She was even able to use her "cast member" tickets to take family and friends on several fun filled vacations to Disney World.

After retiring, she enjoyed being a grandmother. Her life was devoted to her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grand and great grandchildren. She had fun taking them on beach trips, shopping expeditions, cooking and baking their favorite treats, and being there when they needed her.

Her sweet disposition and sense of humor endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She is survived by her son, Joel Quattlebaum, and her daughters, Nora Tillison and Sara Parsons (Fred). She is also survived by her grandson, Christian Tillison; granddaughters, Emma Ann and Wendy Parsons, and great grandchildren, Ethan Tillison, and Ellaka Clark. She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph Quattlebaum; daughter, Barbara Jo Quattlebaum; granddaughter, Gabriel Tillison, and infant son, Joseph Quattlebaum, Jr.
