Obituary
Mrs. Barbara Jo Fisher, 81, of Columbia, SC, died Friday, December 8th, 2023. She was born to the late Millard and Bertha Young (Goff) on March 20th, 1942 in Widen, WV.
Barbara was employed at Rite Aid pharmacy as a manager for many years. She was a hard worker and had a family with her co-workers. She loved her family dearly.
She is survived by her loving son, Michael (Gayle) Young and her daughter, Lisa Bossone, and Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren: Christopher Young, Brittany Young, Dylan Nicholaus, Jocelyn Fisher, and Aubrielle Nicholaus.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her late husband Ronald Dyer, and her siblings, Patricia McKenzie, Donnice Graves, Doris Easter, Gene Young, her son John Fisher and Grandson Jerry Griffin.
The family would like to thank everyone at Mill Creek Manor Senior Living for their compassion and caring for her.
Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations be made in Barbara's name to the Alzheimer's/Dementia Association, 140 Stoneridge Dr., Suite #640, Columbia, SC 29210.
