Barbara graduated from Eau Claire High School where she met her future husband, Paul. While dating, he took her to Church Youth Meeting at the Lomas Pond where she would eventually live for over 50 years. She also started an exercise group for seniors at Fair Lawn. She was very active and encouraged others to exercise and eat healthy. If you asked, she would flex her bicep muscles which always amazed everyone.

She posted her music videos on Youtube and Facebook to uplift and inspire others. She was a member of the Dulcimores of SC, a group who loved to get together and play the mountain dulcimore.
Not only was she a musician but she was also a published writer. She had magazine articles, greeting cards and several Upper Room devotions published. She was an artist who saw the beauty in everything and everyone. She loved photography and posted her incredible pictures on Facebook.
