Barbara June Marsh, 87, of Blythewood, died on Monday, January 19, 2026. Born on September 30, 1938, in the family home on Polk Street in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson Oswald and Katherine Alice Broom Oswald.
Mrs. Marsh was raised during the end of the Great Depression Era and valued family and hard work more than anything. Her career was spent as a Licensed Practical Nurse and then continued by caring for individuals with special needs. Mrs. Marsh had a caring nature for all people and animals, always doing things for others. She enjoyed crafting and making clothes for Barbie dolls and GI Joes. She was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, A.T. Marsh, Jr. of Blythewood; grandchildren, Andrew Marsh, Alice Caroline Marsh; brother, Bruce Jackson Oswald (Theresa); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents listed above and her husband, A.T. Marsh, Sr; and daughter-in-law, Janie Marsh.
The graveside service for Mrs. Marsh will be held at 2 o'clock on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of choice.
