Beatrice William Ard, 84, of Columbia, died Saturday, October 24, 2015. Born September 26, 1931, in Fishkill, NY, she was a daughter of the late Ida William. Mrs. Ard was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Ard; son, Billy Ard; grandchildren, Chris Ard (Donna) and Jennifer Leigh Wingard; four great grandchildren; and sister, Janice Wynot. In addition to her mother, Beatrice was preceded in death by a son, Charles Albert Ard.

The funeral service for Mrs. Ard will be held 2 o'clock, Thursday, October 29th, at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Dr, Columbia, with The Rev. Henry Cooper. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 1 o'clock.
