Mr. Bennett Lee McMahan, 66, of Columbia, died Saturday, October 10, 2015. Born on September 27, 1949 in Hickory, NC, he was a son of the late Claude and Melba Drum McMahan. SMSGT McMahan proudly served in the security police force of the US Air Force. Following his military service, he worked in plumbing sales, most recently working at Gateway Plumbing Supplies. He left a lasting mark on those who knew him, and will be deeply missed by his family and dear friends.

Bennett is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jackie McMahan; daughter, Emma McMahan (Ronnie Fowler); son, Dean McMahan (Crissy); grandchildren, Kyle, Amber, and Britain McMahan; sisters, Peggy Epps and Cathy McMahan; and brothers, Jim and Bill McMahan.

The memorial service for Mr. McMahan will be held at 1 o'clock, Thursday, October 15th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Rd. Exn., Columbia. The family will greet friends following the service.
