Bernice Cockrell Driver, 94, of Columbia, died Friday, August 25, 2017. Born April 25, 1923, she was a daughter of the late James and Annie Mae Smith Cockrell. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and was a member of Bayview Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Charles Ray Driver (Christine); daughter, Vickie D. Vonohsen; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Ray Driver.

A graveside service will be held 2 o'clock, Sunday, August 27th, at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens, 2603 Two Notch Road, Columbia. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
