Bernice Frances Jeffcoat, 85, of Charlotte, formerly of Columbia, died Saturday, June 20, 2015. Born in Columbia on July 22, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Bernest and Pauline Graham Taylor. Bernice was a member of the VFW and loved photography and to dance.

Survivors include her sons, Donald (Ari-Beth Cohen) Marlyne of Griffin, GA, and James Jeffcoat of Charlotte; a daughter, Cynthia Jeffcoat of Janesville, WI; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Rodriguez.

A funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock, Wednesday, June 24th at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, with her son, The Rev. Donald Marlyne officiating. Interment will follow in Olympia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
