Obituary

Mrs. Bess Milling LaMontagne, died Monday, September 5, 2022. Born September 25, 1935, in Greenwood County, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Robert Lyon Milling and Sarah Elizabeth Marbert Milling.

She also loved playing hand and foot as well as bridge wherever she went, but especially with her groups in Columbia.

Bess will be remembered for how well she loved and served those around her, how good of a friend she was to everyone she met, her kind heart, her love of the Lord, her love to entertain others and dance with her late husband Allan, and the joy she brought to others with her cooking, piano playing, and craft skills.

Survivors include her sister Helen (Nita) Montgomery, her daughters Laura LaMontange, Renee LaMontagne and granddaughter Rachel Silver (Timothy). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Robert Milling, her sister Martha Fabrizio, and her husband Gaston Allan LaMontagne.
