Jane Elizabeth "Betty" Williams Alexander, 97, of Columbia died peacefully on her birthday, December 2, 2018. Born in Middlesboro, KY, she was a daughter of the late Roy Frank and Esther Henson Williams. Betty was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She traveled over the world and United States with her husband during his service in the US Air Force.

Betty is survived by her son, Roy E. Alexander (Vicki); daughter, Patricia A. Naimola (Dennis); grandson, Wayne A. Alexander; granddaughters, Melissa Plumlee, Megan Williams (Justin); great-grandson, Parker Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Edward Alexander; and her grandson, R. Frank "Chip" Alexander.

The funeral service for Mrs. Alexander will be held 1 o'clock, Thursday, December 6th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:30 o'clock. A graveside service will be held 10 o'clock, Monday, December 10th, at Highland Memorial Park, 1515 NE 3rd St, Ocala, FL.
