Betty Elizabeth Trapp Belk, 83, of Blythewood, died on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. Born September 21, 1937, in Blythewood, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Marion Trapp and Nannie Eloise Branham Trapp.

Ms. Betty was an active and lifelong member of Sandy Level Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and reading. Ms. Betty was a very talented seamstress, sharing her talents by creating clothing, furniture upholstery, and making dolls. Ms. Betty's greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren, who lovingly called her "Nana".

Survivors include her children, Thomas (Angie) Belk, Greg (Robyn) Belk, and Karen (Randy) Silvia; grandchildren, Adam (Nikki), Tangela (James, "Jr."), Wayne Burton (Meredith), Shane, Christopher, Jonah, Laotha, Brent (Hannah), Hannah; great grandchildren, Lexi, Nadia, TJ, Sutton, Brynnleigh, Jacob, Tanner, and Mary Blythe, who will be arriving in the fall of 2021; along with her sisters, Eloise Raines, Minnie Bell Smith; and brother, Joe "Bud" (Martha Ann) Trapp. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Beatrice Howard.

The funeral service for Ms. Betty will be held 11 o'clock, Friday, June 25, 2021, at Sandy Level Baptist Church, 408 Blythewood Rd., Blythewood, SC 29016. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 10 o'clock, in the Fellowship Center. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.
