Mrs. Betty Jackson Foil, 91, died Tuesday, September 13, 2022. Born in Oil City, Louisiana, she was a daughter of the late Jewell Innis and Ethel Dees Jackson and married for 68 years to Gary Gilbert Foil. A graduate of Louisiana College, Betty was a schoolteacher, who loved working with children and enjoyed serving in the church. She was a member of North Trenholm Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by her son, Bradley J. Foil (Tammy); granddaughters, Jennifer F. Bradley (Todd), Brandy Foil; grandsons, Brandon Foil, Jackson Bleasey; and six great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Bradley J. Foil, Jr.

A service will be held at 10 o'clock, Saturday, September 24th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. The family will receive friends following the service. The burial will be in Vivian Cemetery, Vivian, Louisiana.

The family appreciates the staff of NHC Parklane for the six years of excellent care and also the care received from Caris Hospice and Lexington Medical Center.
