Betty Jean Glover Asbill, 79, of Ridge Spring, died Thursday, February 25, 2016. Born in Rock Hill, SC to the late William Keith and Viola Roberts Glover, she was married to the late Dr. David S. Asbill, Jr. for over 40 years. A volunteer advocate for children and a lover of animals, Betty was a former member of Jackson Creek Baptist Church, where she taught Sunbeams for many years. She was a Den Mother with the Cub Scouts, a big Gamecock fan, and a member of the Silver Spur Club.

She is survived by her son, Larry Rodriguez (Yvonne) of Concord, NC; grandsons, Dr. Justin Rodriguez, and Landon Rodriguez; and brothers, Lynn Glover (Marie) of Concord, NC, and Ray Glover, of Wallace, CA. In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by her brothers, William and Joseph Robert Glover.

The family will receive friends at 11 o'clock, Saturday, February 27th at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. A private burial will be held at the Ridge Spring Cemetery, Ridge Spring, SC.
