Mrs. Betty Harvey Watford, 77, of West Columbia, died on Thursday, October 4, 2012. Born on December 8, 1934, in Berkley County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Allen Jacob Harvey and Rachel Littlejohn Harvey.

A 1952 graduate of Brookland- Cayce High School, Mrs. Watford went on to work for SC Department of Revenue in the property division. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, and attended the Cannon Sunday School Class.

Survivors include sons, Bill (Lianne) Watford of Gilbert, Harvey Watford of Cayce, John "Joe" (Rhonda Williams) of Gilbert; daughter, Betsy (Doug) Painter of Edgefield, SC; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy James Watford, Sr.

A funeral service for Mrs. Betty Watford will be held at 3:30 o'clock, Sunday, October 7th, at St. Mark United Methodist Church, with the Rev. W. Robert Borom officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2 o'clock. Burial will follow at Celestial Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Keith Jirel, Trey Watford, Brett Watford, Tate Watford, Joshua Painer, Nicole Painter, Jacob Painter, and Christina Polyak.
