Obituary

Ms. Billie Jean Watts Driggers, 80, of Columbia, died Sunday, September 6, 2015. Born in Fairfield County on December 12, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Albert Madison Watts and Edna Reynolds Watts. Billie served the children of Richland District One as a cafeteria manager for more than 25 years, and she was a member of the South Carolina School Food Service Association. She was a longtime member of Eau Claire Baptist Church, and she deeply enjoyed the friendships she shared in the Miriam Gross Sunday School Class and the Baptist Women's Group.

Billie is survived by her daughters, Connie Jackson and April D. Hendrix; son, Jimmy Driggers; grandchildren, Haley Hendrix Crews(Shawn) and Katie Driggers Ambrose; Jonathan Reis Parker; great grandchild,Shawn "Moxley" Crews; sister, Jo W. Faile(Bobby); brother, Keith Watts; nephews, Ali Faile and Tyler Watts; and niece, Brittney Watts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Driggers.

A service for Billie will be held 2 o'clock, Sunday, November 1st, at Eau Claire Baptist Church, 4427 North Main St., Columbia, with The Rev. James A. Goudelock officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eau Claire Baptist Church.
