Billy Martin, 89, of Hopkins, died Wednesday, February 10, 2021, weeks shy of what would have been his 90th birthday. Born March 4, 1931 in Columbia, SC, he was a son of the late William Mason Martin and Agnes Rose Sharpe Martin.

Mr. Martin was a member of Belmont Baptist Church. He loved USC Gamecock football, stock car racing, old cars, especially 52 MG's. Mr. Martin was a member of the Eau Claire Masonic Lodge since 1964 and during that time had at one time, served as the treasurer.

Billy is survived by his daughter, Billie Sue and son-in-law, Ray Dawkins; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

A graveside service for Mr. Martin will be held 11 o'clock, Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 7100 Garners Ferry Rd., Columbia, SC. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family. All are welcome to attend, however, due to Covid concerns, masks are required.
