Billy Wayne Wilson, 58, of Greenville, SC, died on Sunday, April 27, 2025. Born on December 22, 1966, in Columbia, he was a son of the late J. B. Wilson and Sally Chesser Wilson.

Prior to health concerns, Mr. Wilson was employed for many years as a HVAC technician in the residential and commercial construction industry and as a shredder tower operator for a commercial metals company. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved telling jokes, always hitting the punchline perfectly. Mr. Wilson's hobbies included tinkering and fixing items, working on cars, fishing, and playing computer games. Mr. Wilson also adored animals rescuing many of his animal companions from horrible circumstances. He enjoyed watching outdoor survival programs on television. He loved a simple life with nature. The mountains were his favorite place. He loved his family. "Wild Man Bill" was loved and will be terribly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Priscilla Creighton Wilson; biological son, Justin Jenkins; sisters, Helen Shuford (Mike) and Beth Jenkins (Jackie); as well several nieces, nephews and their families.

The family will receive guests from 4 until 6 o'clock, Saturday, May 3rd, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext, Columbia, SC.
