Obituary

Rhesa Lee Dozier, affectionately known to all as "Bob," passed away peacefully, joining his beloved wife, Charlotte, in eternal rest. Bob was a man whose life was defined by his fierce love for God, his family, and his country.

For over 50 years, Bob was a dedicated and proud professional truck driver. His extensive knowledge of the nation's highways was a testament to his understanding and appreciation of the roads that keep the country moving. He was a patriot who proudly served his country during the Vietnam war as a US Army Ranger and maintained deep respect for all those who serve today.

Beyond his professional life, Bob's greatest gifts were his unwavering support and his unforgettable sense of humor. There was never a moment he wasn't available for a supportive conversation, a hearty laugh, or a late-night chat when his daughter had too much to drink. His presence brought comfort and levity to every gathering, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

Bob's greatest joy in life was his family. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were truly his "sunshine," representing the very best part of his days.
Bob was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Charlotte Dozier, who passed away in 2013.

He is survived by his four devoted daughters: Sheila Mansfield (and husband Andrew Mansfield), Lisa Alton, Kimmah Dozier-Burt (and wife Beca Dozier-Burt), Ashley Prokop (and husband Steven Prokop).

He also leaves behind his two brothers, Fred Lang and Troy Lang, and a large, loving legacy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry his memory forward.

Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
