Bob Donald "Don" McCluney, 90, of Columbia, died Thursday, April 6, 2023. Born in Cherokee County, Alabama, he was a son of the late Olin Alexander and Myrtle Octavia Hartline McCluney and married for 65 years to the late Richardine Hamby. Don served in the US Army and retired from the Burroughs/Unisys Corporations, selling mainframe accounting computers. He was very active at North Trenholm Baptist Church in the children's ministry, assisting in building projects, Sunday School and visiting those who could not come to church.

Survivors include his sons, Tony and Jadanna McCluney, Scott and Libby McCluney, Kevin and Melissa McCluney, Steven and Wendy McCluney; grandchildren, 15; great-grandchildren, 8; brother, Joe McCluney.

A graveside service will be held at 12 o'clock, Monday, April 10th, at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia. The family will greet friends following the service.
