Bobbie S. Catoe, 95, of Columbia, died Sunday, April 2, 2023.

The funeral service for Mrs. Catoe will be held at 1 o'clock Wednesday, April 5th at Eau Claire Baptist Church, 4427 N. Main St, Columbia, SC. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 7100 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral beginning at 12 o'clock in the church sanctuary.

Bobbie was born February 12, 1928, in Kershaw, SC, she was a daughter of the late Robert F. and Inez Johnson Sowell. Mrs. Catoe was a homemaker, raising two sons while her husband, Lee, was a long-haul truck driver. She worked for Tapps Department Store in the women's apparel from 1967-1975 and Chick-Fil-A at Dutch Square Mall from 1992-2004. Mrs. Catoe volunteered her time for many years at Prisma Health Baptist Columbia in the gift shop. She was a member of Eau Claire Baptist Church where she served on many committees and worked in the food pantry. Mrs. Catoe lived life following the message of GOD. She routinely said that when she falls it was HIS grace that helped her get back up.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Dennis Catoe and Richard Catoe; brothers, Hazell Sowell, J.T. Sowell, and Ralph Sowell; sisters, Mae Roberts and Evelyn Horton.

Survivors include her husband of 74 years, Lee Catoe; daughter-in-law, Roslyn Catoe of Columbia; grandchildren, Brandie Catoe McVey (Richard) of Irmo, Scott Catoe (Michele) of Chapin, and Kellie Catoe Hall (Brian) of Columbia; as well as her great grandchildren, Bralyn McVey, Kylie McVey, Whitley Leviner, Logan Leviner, Tyler Catoe, Wellslee Hall, and Hampton Hall.

The family requests in lieu of flowers a donation be made to Eau Claire Baptist Church, 4427 N Main St ., Columbia, SC 29203.
