Bobby Ray Medlin, 84, of Lugoff, died Sunday, December 6, 2015. Born July 6, 1931, in Lexington County, he was the son of the late Mac and Gertrude Marthers Medlin. Bobby attended Right Connection Church, and enjoyed the outdoors and working on his cars.
Bobby is survived by his special friend of 27 years, Mary Lane of Lexington; her children, Lewis (Sandra) Humphries of Winnsboro, Barbara (Tom) Fletcher of Winnsboro, and Steve (Linda) Humphries of Lake Wateree; nephews, Jimmy Smith of Lugoff, Robert (Robin) Smith of Ridgeway, and Jerry (Pam) Smith of Columbia; niece, Emily (Wallace) Braham of Elgin; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Mae Branham.
A funeral service for Mr. Medlin will be held at 12 o'clock, Thursday, December 10th, at Pine View Baptist Church, with The Reverend Russell Thompson and The Reverend Kathy Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 11 o'clock. Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, is assisting the family.
