Mr. Bobby Ray Williams, 71, of Columbia, died Tuesday, September 18, 2012. Born in Columbia on June 4, 1941 to the late Murry Donell Williams and Albertha Frost Williams, he attended Dentsville High School, and later worked as a carpenter.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Mabel Williams; son, Dean (Minnie) Williams of Elgin; daughters, Cindy (Brian) Miles of Elgin, Christina (Jay) Livingston of Eastover, Nancy Acklie of Columbia, Peggy (James) Mattox of Elgin, and Donnie Reynolds of Columbia; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond, Johnny and Robert Williams; and his sister, Molly Mae Carmen.

A graveside service for Mr. Williams will be held at 10 o'clock, Friday, September 21st, at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens, 2603 Two Notch Rd, Columbia. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock, Thursday evening at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Dr, Columbia. In lieu of flowers, please contact the family for memorial information.
