Brenda Dianne Russell, 67, a life-long resident of Blythewood, left this world suddenly on Saturday, February 27, 2021. She was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Born July 8, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Sallie Russell.

She had three children: Mark, Crystal, and Shane. A devout Christian woman, she was known for the simplest pleasures in life that brought joy to others. Brenda's pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met. She loved spending time with friends and family. Brenda had a love for the beach, passion for helping her grandchildren and great niece with school activities, as well as spending time at the local parks.

She is survived by her brothers, Terry Russell (Teresa) of NC and Edward D. Russell of NH; sons, Mark Craig, Shane Lozynski (Heather); niece, Amanda Russell (Stan Smith); nephews, Bobby Russell (Trish) and Chris Russell. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sydney, Scarlett, and Savannah Lozynski; great nieces, Lilly Smith and Peyton Russell; great nephew, Hunter Russell, as well as extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Crystal Lozynski.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 o'clock, Monday, March 8th at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Rd, Columbia, SC, with Rev. Chris Hanley officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:30 until 12:00 o'clock at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, SC.

All are invited to attend; however, masks and social distancing are required to create a safe environment for all.
