He grew up in various cities due to his father's work. He lived in Poolesville, Maryland; Midland, Michigan; Cary, North Carolina, before finally moving back to Irmo in 1987. He moved to Forest Acres in 1991 and has been there since. Brian attended and graduated in 1999 from AC Flora High School and excelled at soccer, making the all region team his senior year. He continued playing after high school until a broken leg ended his career.
Brian worked at various jobs over his life. He setup equipment for concert shows and has a collection of Tee shirts from the events. He built swimming pools, worked at the Koger center setting up shows and ended up at UPS for the last 11 years. He loved a good time and loved his Gamecocks. He had many pictures of him at games with his best friend Ed Frick. His recent interests were disc golf and taking pictures with his drones. He loved viewing the sunsets and even got a picture of the space station the last time it passed over us.
Brian was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 13. This was a difficult time for him and his family, especially during his teen years. He had a bad period for a time, but eventually came around in his later years of high school.
Brian was a kind, friendly soul and loved a party. He was generous and always willing to help. While he still lived at home, he always helped with yard work and cleaning the house. He would go on bike rides to help lower his blood sugar levels and was strong as an ox.
