Bryan Joseph "Joe" Monroe, 45, of Columbia, SC was born on November 8, 1976 and passed away on March 22, 2022. Joe was born in Columbia, SC and graduated from AC Flora High School in Columbia. He went on to attend college at Coastal Carolina University. Joe was a beloved son, brother, father, as well as an avid surfer. As much as he loved being by the ocean, nothing compared to the love and pride he felt for his son, Jackson. He will be remembered for his love of people and children.

Joe is survived by his parents, Hollis "Holly" Revere Monroe and Blair "Barry" Hill Monroe; his son, Jackson Blair; his brothers, Ryan Hill and Daniel Kemper (Jessica Grace); half-brother, Bryan Godfrey; and nephews, Heath and Rhodes; and niece, MaryAnn. He is predeceased by his grandparents, Sybil and Robert Revere; and grandparents, Carol and Jack Monroe.

A memorial service will be held for Joe at Shives Funeral Home on Trenholm Road at 1 o'clock, on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, with Rev. Dr. Lynn Grandsire officiating. The family will receive visitation from friends on Wednesday, March 30th from 4-6pm at his mother's home.
