Calvin Leo Ross, widower of Norah Patricia Hughes Ross, died Sunday, December 9, 2018. Born on June 25, 1932 in Elgin, SC, he was a son of the late Joseph Eli and Rebecca Lovett Ross. Mr. Ross was an E6 Tech Sgt in the US Air Force and retired from the South Carolina Technical College System.

Survivors include his children, David H. Ross (Sylvia), Calvin Paul Ross, Susan R. Luthren (Richard Frierson, MD) and Barbara Ann Ross; five grandchildren, Tiffany Swinford (Sean), Daniel C. Johnson (Becky), Morgan K. Ross, Travis R. Luthren, and Breanna L. Ross; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 16 siblings.

The funeral service for Mr. Ross will be held at 3 o'clock on Wednesday, December 12th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext, Columbia with the Rev. Tommy Ross officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens, 11020 Two Notch Road, Elgin. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2 o'clock.
