Carl Berry 53, of West Columbia, South Carolina, passed away suddenly on November 4, 2015 from a cerebral hemorrhage.

The memorial service will be held at 5:00 o'clock, Friday, November 20th at East Lake Community Church in Irmo. Pastor Steve Musto will be officiating. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.

Carl was born in Winnsboro, SC, graduated from Winnsboro High School and received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of South Carolina. He worked as a service writer at Capitol Chevrolet for many years, and was a wonderful Christian man who always offered help and encouragement to those in need. He was a dedicated member of East Lake Community Church.

Carl had no children, and is survived by his wife, Debbie Baughman; two sisters, Crystal Smith, Carol Ann and her husband Tim Garifalo; his nieces and nephews; and the rest of his family and friends. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, J.W. and Ann Rye Berry.

Memorial may be made to the Carl Berry Belize Mission Fund in care of East Lake Community Church, 10057 Broad River Road, Irmo, SC 29063. The family wishes to thank everyone for reaching out during this time to provide comfort and support.
