Carl Elbert Cagle, Jr., 55, of Columbia, died August 11, 2017 at his home. Born April 16, 1962, in Manning, SC, he was a son of Faye Broadway Derrick and the late Carl Elbert Cagle, Sr. He was a graduate of Eau Claire High School and worked for Lizard's Thicket for 32 years.

Survivors include his mother, Faye Broadway Derrick (Don Derrick, deceased) of Irmo; a host of aunts, uncles as well as many cousins.

The graveside service for Carl will be held 11 o'clock, Friday, August 25, at Home Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, 2398 Home Branch Road, Manning, SC. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, 1321 Salem Church Road, Irmo, SC, 29063. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel is assisting the family.
