Carmen Parker Mounce died Sunday December 27th peacefully in her home. Born November 13, 1931 in Prentiss, Mississippi, she was a daughter of the late Laura Deen Parker and the late Robert Stephen Parker.
She attended Trenholm Road United Methodist Church and supported Epworth Children's Home. Carmen was an avid antique collector and was known to have a beautiful garden. In her later years, her great grandchildren would frequent her home and know exactly where to go to the famous candy drawer. She was a generous woman and loved her family well.
Survivors include her son, Steve Mounce and wife Elizabeth; daughter, Coy Mounce Thomas and husband Bill Thomas; grandchildren, Sarah Parker Mounce, Richard Mounce and wife Katie Mounce, Parker Gaston and the late Chase Gaston; and great grandchildren, Stephen, Isaac, Isabella, and William Mounce. She is preceded in death by her husband Billy Richard Mounce and 11 brothers and sisters.
The graveside for Ms. Carmen Mounce will be held at 10 o'clock, Wednesday, December 30th, with her grandson, the Reverend Richard Mounce officiating. The family will not be receiving guests due to COVID restrictions.
