Carol "Ann" Wiles Mattox, 72, of Lexington, died Saturday, November 10, 2018. Born on August 23, 1946 in Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of the late Oswald and Dorothy Long Wiles. Ann loved her family and always put others before herself. She never missed a birthday, and was sure to send a personalized card for every occasion her family and friends had. After her health prevented her from attending church, she was a faithful in watching First Baptist Church of Columbia on television every Sunday.

Survivors include her daughter, Rhonda Mattox Wise (Donnie); two grandsons, Ryan J. and Jordan R. Wise; a sister, Kay W. Timms (Henry); niece, Jill Timms Goldie (Jason); a great-niece, Ella Mills Goldie; numerous other nieces, nephews and extended family members; as well as her special four legged companion, Bonnie. In addition to her parents, Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald J. "Ronnie" Mattox.

The funeral service for Mrs. Mattox will be held 12 o'clock, Tuesday, November 13th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, with the Rev. R. Joseph Copeland officiating. Burial will follow the service in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 11 o'clock.
