Carroll Earl Rawl, 77, of Blythewood, died Sunday, May 19, 2013. Born February 11, 1936, in Wagener, SC, he was a son of the late Earl and Carolyn Weeks Rawl. Carroll attended The Citadel where he played the bass drum in the band. He remained a lifelong Citadel fan. Carroll retired from NAPA Auto Parts, after 30 years in the industry. He spent much of his life on James Island, SC, where he was a very active member and elder of James Island Presbyterian Church. Carroll was also an Eagle Scout, past scoutmaster, and avid do-it-yourselfer. While in Blythewood, he attended Oak Grove United Methodist Church.

Survivors include sons, Jeff (Valerie) Rawl of Blythewood, Carroll Andrew "Andy" (Kay) Rawl of Greer; and daughters, Lisa (Steve) Stallings of Texas and Lynn (David) Pace of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Andrew Stallings, Drew, Colleen, Jordan and Abigail Rawl and Thomas McCalmon; several step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and sisters, Judy (Sherrill) Dunn and Linda (Nathan) Spell. In addition to his parents, Carroll was preceded in death by his wife, Andrea Hall Rawl.

The funeral service for Mr. Rawl will be held 5:00 o'clock, Friday, May 24th, at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, 1801 Cedar Creek Rd, Blythewood, with The Rev. Charles Wilbanks officiating. The family will receive friends at the church, prior to the service, beginning at 4 o'clock. A graveside service will be held 11 o'clock, Saturday morning, at Holy Cross Cemetery, 604 Ft.
