Catherine H. "Jane" Brazell

Catherine H. "Jane" Brazell, 88, of Columbia, died on Sunday, October 4, 2026. Born on January 23, 1938, in Columbia, she was a daughter of Frank W. Hall and Ella Mae Senn Hall. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Brazell worked as a licensed practical nurse at Richland Memorial Hospital for over 30 years. She was a member of Westside Holiness Church in West Columbia. Mrs. Brazell’s hobbies included traveling, especially trips to the beach, cooking, crocheting, quilting, and gardening. She loved to have fun and was even known to sing and dance at the appropriate occasion.

Mrs. Brazell is survived by her grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three husbands, four sons, five sisters, and four brothers.

The funeral service for Mrs. Brazell will be held at 12 o’clock, Saturday, October 10th at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. Burial will follow at Celestial Memorial Gardens, 3111 Delree St, West Columbia, SC.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 11 o’clock.
