Ted Leon Keller, 68, of Columbia, died Thursday, April 6, 2017. Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late Louie Henry Keller and Margaret Rose Mosser Keller and married to Tammy Hudson Keller. A member of Spring Valley Baptist Church, Ted was an ordained minister of the Gospel. He graduated from Wingate College, and attended Charleston Southern University (formerly, Baptist College of Charleston) and also attended culinary school. Ted fought alongside truck drivers and others to be on the lookout and prevent human trafficking. He was a lead chaplain for Transport for Christ and a member of the SC Trucking Association.
In addition to his wife, Ted is survived by his brother, Frank Dale Keller (Celia); sister, Margaret Poteat (Dean); uncle, Charles Mosser (Carol); niece, Rebecca Keller Dion (Glenn); and great nephew, Gideon Henry Dion.
A funeral service will be held 12 o'clock, Tuesday, April 11th, at Spring Valley Baptist Church, 91 Polo Road, Columbia, with Dr. Robert Winburn officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:30 o'clock. Memorials may be made to Transport for Christ, P.O.
