Charles Walter Lockey, Sr., 76, of Winnsboro, died Saturday, October 8, 2016. Born in Bennettsville, SC on March 2, 1940, he was a son of the late James Paul and Letha Brigman Lockey. Mr. Lockey served during the Vietnam War and retired from the US Navy.

Survivors include his sons, Charles Walter "Chuck" Lockey, Jr. (Icy), Robert Paul Lockey (Denise); daughters, Letha Gulledge-Gunton (Rob), Edwina "Eddie" Johnson (Russell); grandchildren, Luke Floyd, Ashley Kroening, Arianna McKnight (Sean), John Gulledge; great-grandchildren, Grady, and Brynn.

A funeral service will be held 1 o'clock, Tuesday, October 11th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. Interment with full military honors will follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock, Monday, at the funeral home.
