Charles Ryan Luthren, 71, of Blythewood, died on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. Born in Columbia, SC, on September 2, 1952, he was a son of the late William R. and Mamie Taylor Luthren. Mr. Luthren was a graduate of Eau Claire High School and worked in Plumbing for many years and recently retired from Walker-White Plumbing HVAC. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes and listening to 70's rock-and-roll music.

Survivors include his son, Travis Ryan Luthren; brothers, George Luthren (Mary) and Randy Luthren (Kay); sister, Lisa Luthren Moseley (Kenny); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Luthren.

The service for Mr. Luthren will be held at 1 o'clock, Monday, October 2nd, at Fairlawn United Methodist Church, 9203 Wilson Blvd, Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall of the church. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
