Charles Louis Reeves, II, 71, of Columbia, died Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at his home. Born October 16, 1945, in Keokuk, Iowa, he was a son of the late Charles Louis Reeves and Iola Mae Gates Reeves. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the American Legion Post 41, in Keokuk. Charles retired from the Dial-Pinnacle Corporation with over 30 years of service. He was also a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Mary Boone Reeves; son, Charles Reeves, III of Missouri; daughter, Carmon Iverson (Isaac) of Columbia, SC; seven grandchildren, Jacob, Isabell, Samuel, Malachi, Helen, Lillian and Maximus; sisters, Deborah Eimer and Lori Wilbert; brother-in-law, Fr. Garrett Clanton (Ruth); aunts, Pauliene Paris, and Marion Ealey; uncle, Bob Wilsey; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by a sister, Candace Reeves; and an aunt, Betty Rose Wilsey.
The graveside service for Charles will be held 9 o'clock, Tuesday, August 29, at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Covenant Classical Christian School, 3120 Covenant Rd, Columbia, 29204. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel is assisting the family.
