Charles P. Testor, 75, of Boiling Springs, SC passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Terra Bella Assisted Living in Spartanburg. He was the husband of the late Virginia "Kay" Smith Testor.
Mr. Testor was born in Clearwater, Florida and was a son of the late Joseph McCusker Testor and Thelma Daucette Testor. He grew up in Kingstron, New Hampshire where he played multiple sports in high school at Sanborn Seminary. He attended Michigan Tech University and played on the football team for one year before transferring and earning a B.S. in Environmental Health Science at the University of Georgia. He worked for many years in Safety and quality control for CertianTeed at various locations in Georgia. Later in life he obtained a M.B.A. from Brenau University. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf, studying history and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his son, Joseph N. Testor, of Boiling Springs; 3 brothers, James M. Testor of Columbia, Carry Cooper of Galveston, TX and Lionel C. Cooper of Redlands, CA. He was preceded in death by a brother, Penn L. Cooper.
A funeral service will take place in Boiling Springs, SC, at a later date to be announced. Interment will be private at Good Shepherd Memorial Park. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
