Charlotte Paschal Lovett, 81, of Columbia, died Monday, August 18, 2014. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Roland Otis and Maggie Delk Paschal. She worked with Rockwell International, was a former member of the Red Hat Society, and a long-time member of Killian Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Donna Miles of Blythewood, Diane Lovett (Rob Windhorn) of Columbia; grandchildren, Maggie Stout (Erik), Carlton Hal Moseley, all of Columbia, Helen D. Bryant (George King) of Blythewood, Eric Vallard Moseley (Heather) of Elgin; great grandchildren, Morgan Rast of Cameron, SC, Skyler Moseley of Elgin, Dalton Bryant and Maci King, both of Blythewood; a sister, Esther Thigpen of Columbia; and brothers, Leo Paschal (Marie) and Verner Paschal (Nancy), all of Elgin. In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert T. Lovett, Jr.; son, Herbert "Hal" Lovett; and brother, Leon Paschal.
The funeral service for Mrs. Lovett will be held 1 o'clock, Thursday, August 21st, at Killian Baptist Church, with The Rev. Richard A. Humphries officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock, Wednesday evening, at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia.
