Obituary
Charlotte W. Sessions, 81, of Columbia, died on Thursday, December 02, 2021. Born January 19, 1940, in Oconee County, SC, she was a daughter to the late Francis L. Whitmire and Ruby Brown Whitmire.
Ms. Charlotte was a talented seamstress, who also enjoyed restoring antiques with her husband, Ralph. She loved animals and enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include her daughter, Victoria Giles (D. Andrew Giles, Jr.), Elizabeth Longshore; grandchildren Brian, Laura, Amber Longshore (Christian Rhea); great grandson, Elijah Rhea; siblings, Rebecca Fowler (Charles), Melvin Whitmire (Zana), Bobby Thrasher; along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph T. Sessions; and sister-in-law, Geri Thrasher.
Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Sessions name to The Humane Society of SC, 405 Greenlawn Dr., Columbia, SC, 29209.
